The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years in the online advertising environment with at least 3 years at a startup. If not a consultancy, then this person had to have grown into a senior level role at a startup. Preference will be given to candidates with experience at a major consulting firm. He or she will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, supervising teams, and cultivating the business. The candidate will report directly to the advisory board. A successful individual will need to be a true team player, capable of functioning well in a global and multicultural setting, and able to work together with a wide range of individuals of all levels from senior firm leaders to junior analysts. Entrepreneurial spirit with analytical, critical thinking and problem solving abilities required.
Responsibilities:
Approve the recruitment, selection, employment and release of all personnel
Uphold a positive working climate which attracts, retains and motivates a diverse quality staff
Implement SalesForce, project management software, and company growth plan

Upwardly is looking for a director to build and lead a new foundation. The director has the ultimate responsibility of establishing the foundation and making sure the foundation accomplishes its goals and objectives.
The responsibilities of the director of the Foundation are to plan, create, direct, carry out, and evaluate the Foundation’s program of grantmaking, fundraising, development, and fund investment. It is expected that the director will develop, and update as necessary, both short and long-term plans supporting the mission of the Foundation. These plans will be reviewed and approved by the Foundation Board.
The director will be responsible for hiring staff as needed, making sure the staff collectively has the skills needed to perform the various jobs required, and providing ongoing staff development to enhance their performances. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day operations of the foundation, he sets the example that motivates the staff and board of directors to accomplish the foundation's goals.
The foundation director collaborates with others in the community to increase and maintain the foundation's visibility. He/She will be charged with setting a collaborative leadership example that will encourage cooperation and good working relationships with his staff, within the board of directors and in the community.
Working with the foundation's accountants and financial advisers, the foundation director will prepare and propose an annual budget to the board, or he/she may oversee the budget preparations of an employee. The director will present the proposed budget to the board, explain increases and new plans from one year to the next, and will be prepared to answer questions about budget items.
